The grounds of our cute hotel, the Askwith Motel.
Eating barge-side.
Still happy, after 13 hours of driving.
Watching the barges coming through the famous Sault locks.
After watching the barges go through, we went through on our own boat.
It was rather windy during the ride through the locks.
While waiting for the big moment in the locks, new friends were made.
Mathieu's first time in Canada...well Canadian waters anyway. The yellow bouy marks the Canadian side of the locks.
The doors of the lock.
Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, looked bigger and more exciting from the water, but once over there it was clear the Michigan side had lots more charm.
Getting tired after a big day of boats.
Napping isn't just for toddlers.
Probably the most exciting thing to happen in Sault Ste Marie was a first lost tooth!
See the First Lost Tooth entry for more detail on that excitement!
